Uruguayan Meats in Japan. Foodex 2018

FOODEX 2018, in Chiba, Japan, this year celebrated its 43rd edition. It is the most important food and drinks exhibition in the Asian country.

Last time that the meat sector participated in this fair was in the year 2000. This year INAC has returned to participate in the framework of the upcoming reopening of the Japanese market for Uruguayan beef.

The stand of the Uruguayan meats had an area of 54 m2. It counted with the participation of 3 co-exhibiting companies and 1 broker Company and it was built adjacent to the stand of Uruguay XXI. Both institutions shared the design to reinforce the positioning and increase the visibility of the country.

The main message focused on the production system and the attributes of the product, showing two central images and the projection of a video.. 

The Uruguayan ambassador to Japan, César Ferrer, and the diplomatic corps team were present on the first day of the fair.

During the Uruguayan participation in Foodex, a Seminar was held at the fair were INAC and Uruguay XXI made a presentation of Uruguay. The event was attended by Ambassador Ferrer and the former Ambassador of Japan in Uruguay Keiko Tanaka.

Going along with the activities, on March 7, the Embassy of Uruguay in Japan offered a reception at its residence.
