During the official mission to Germany, INAC provided support to MGAP and Presidency of the Republic. In this context, it was made the presentation of the book about LEMCO from the researcher Lucia Lewowicz, in English and German edition. The handover was made to the Minister of Agriculture of Germany.
The publication tells the story, unknown to general public, of the founding of a unique scientific enterprise that happened sixty years before the Anglo slaughterhouse of Fray Bentos began operating, on the premises of what it was, precisely, the LEMCO.
The entrepreneurial vision of a group led by Eng. Georg Christian Giebert, captured the ideal conditions of this territory for the production of meat extract which formula had developed the great German Chemist Justus von Liebig. This activity has the support of the Embassy of Uruguay in Germany.
