In the framework of the national agreement for the joint promotion of football and meat, Russia hosted the first activity for the promotion of Uruguayan meat.
The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) and the National Meat Institute (INAC) signed a national agreement for the joint promotion of Meat and Football -declared of national interest by the Presidency of the Republic.
A reception with Uruguayan meats and wines was held in Beijing for Chinese sanitary authorities and other guests.
INAC is enrolling farmers who would like to be part of the activities based on traceability for the promotion of Uruguayan beef around the world.

A lunch was held at the Uruguayan Antarctic Base in which staffs from the stations of the Russian Federation, Korea, China and Chile were invited to taste "asado".
18% above 2010. Exports of metas, offal, meat products and byproducts total 1,652,210 dollars. Income obtained for beef exports account for 81 % of the total shipped by the meat sector, whereas sheep meat represents 5 %.
